The Broncos waived wide receivers Dicky Lyons and Landis Williams on Tuesday.
Lyons, a Kentucky product, signed with the Broncos on May 3. He was with the Atlanta Falcons during training camp last year. Williams, an undrafted rookie from Maine, signed with the Broncos on April 30.

Defending champion Steve Ziegler of The Ranch Country Club defeated Grant Javernick of Meadow Hills Golf Course 3 and 2 on Tuesday at the 110th Colorado Golf Association Match Play Championship at CommonGround Golf Course in Aurora.
Ziegler, the No. 1 seed, advanced to the round of 32 and plays 32nd-seeded Kory Harrell of Eisenhower Golf Club today.
Tristan Sanders, who shot a course-record 64 in Monday’s qualifier at CommonGround, his home course, lost to Thomas Roos of Plum Creek Golf & Country Club 4 and 3.
The tournament concludes Friday.
AFA hockey schedule finalized.
Air Force opens its 2010-11 hockey season Oct. 8 against Alaska-Fairbanks and Oct. 9 against Alaska-Anchorage. Both games will be played in Anchorage. The Falcons’ Atlantic Hockey Association opener is Oct. 17 against AHA newcomer Robert Morris at the Consol Energy Center, the new home of the NHL’s Pittsburgh Penguins.
Air Force’s home-opening series is Oct. 22-23 against American International College at Cadet Ice Arena.
The Falcons host Colorado College on Nov. 12, play the University of Denver at Magness Arena on Nov. 27 in the Denver Cup and host Army in a Jan. 14-15 series.
