LEADVILLE, Colo.—Investigators say a Leadville man who was free on bail shot and killed a woman he was accused of stalking and then killed himself.
Lake County Sheriff Ed Holte says Anthony Medina shot Yvonne Flores outside her home on Wednesday night and then shot himself. Both were 58.
The victim and her husband lived next door to the house where Medina lived with his mother.
Holte says Medina had been stalking Flores for about two years and had been arrested June 22 on a stalking charge. He was released on $2,500 bail, and a temporary restraining order issued on June 24 required him to stay away from Flores.
Holte says Flores told deputies that Medina would look in her windows, follow her, touch her and make inappropriate remarks.
