Greg Sabicer, a resident at the Rowan Community care facility, shares a laugh Tuesday with former Denver Bronco Billy Thompson. The Bessie’s Hope organization brought Thompson, a Pro Bowler who played his entire career in Denver from 1969 to 1981, to the Rowan Community through its “Dreams Can Still Come True” program. The Rowan Community is a 64-bed facility in southeast Denver that cares for residents with medical challenges, including multiple sclerosis, brain injuries and neurological disorders.
