The Starz FilmCenter on the Auraria campus is becoming a destination for filmmakers as they wend their way through the country screening their work. This weekend, Ritu Sarin and Tenzing Sonam come to town for a three-day engagement of “The Sun Behind the Clouds.” The documentary is set in 2008, a year of heightened frustration and protests in Tibet’s exile communities and the year of the Summer Olympics in Beijing. (7 p.m. today and Saturday; 3 p.m. Sunday )
Later in the week, Tamra Davis (“Gun Crazy,” “Half Baked”) appears at the Women + Film screening of her bio-documentary, “Jean-Michel Basquiat: The Radiant Child” (7 p.m. Tuesday); DocNight features Brett Ingram screening “Rocaterrania,” about a German immigrant and the imaginary nation he founded (7 p.m. Thursday).
