The National Federation of Independent Business, an association of small business owners, named 42 Colorado legislators as winners of its Guardian of Small Business award.
To qualify for the award, legislators needed to have a 80 percent favorable record on 10 pro-small business issues during the 2009-2010 session.
Guardian Award-winning senators with 100-percent record were: Greg Brophy, R-Cheyenne; Bill Cadman, R-El Paso; Ted Harvey, R-Douglas; Ken Kester, R-Baca; Keith King, R-El Paso; Mike Kopp R-Jefferson; Kevin Lundberg, R-Larimer; Shawn Mitchell, R-Adams; Josh Penry, R-Garfield; Scott Renfroe, R-Weld; Mark Scheffel, R-Douglas; David Schulthesis, R-El Paso; Nancy Spence, R-Arapahoe.
Al White, R-Routt, had a 80-percent record.
State Representatives with a 100-percent record were: Cindy Acree, R-Arapahoe; Laura Bradford R-Mesa; Brian Delgrosso, R-Larimer; Cory Gardner, R-Adams; Cheri Gerou R-Jefferson; Jim Kerr, R-Jefferson; Steve King, R-Delta; Kent Lambert R-El Paso; Larry Liston, R-El Paso; Marsha Looper, R-El Paso; Mike May, R-Douglas; Frank McNulty, R-Douglas; Carole Murray, R-Douglas; B.J. Joe Rice, D-Arapahoe, had a 80 percent or better record.
