Dozens of bands have been invited to participate in the inaugural Colorado Community Band Festival from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. This free event celebrates the state’s “rich heritage of band music.” The schedule includes performances by the Mile High Community Band (pictured), Rocky Mountain Brassworks, Golden Eagle Concert Band, Mile High Freedom Band and more. Outdoor summer music continues on Old South Pearl Street today as its Blues & Brews festival heats up from noon to 10 p.m. The lineup includes Janiva Magness, Harmonica Blowout, George Whitsell’s All Stars, Grady Champion, the Lionel Young Band with Erica Brown, Teresa Lynne, Jim Adam and Jon Stillwagon, and the Clam Daddys.
