Growing good mojo
Tagawa Gardens hosts a silent auction from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. today and Sunday to benefit 21 local animal-welfare organizations. Last week, representatives from these organizations competed in a container-garden contest co-sponsored by Ball Horticultural’s Simply Beautiful program. This weekend, the containers will be sold during the silent auction to benefit the organizations, which also will have live animals on hand at the nursery. Tagawa Gardens reminds planting enthusiasts that creating an alluring container garden means including “thrillers,” “fillers” and “spillers.” Tagawa Gardens is located at 7711 S. Parker Road, Centennial. Elana Ashanti Jefferson
