GRAND JUNCTION, Colo.—Mesa State College has been given the go-ahead to offer a doctoral degree in nursing practice and a master of science degree in nursing.
The Colorado Commission on Higher Education approved the degrees Thursday for the Grand Junction college.
The doctoral degree will be the highest offered by the college.
The college says graduate-level nursing courses could begin as soon as spring 2011. It could take a year and a half or longer before doctoral courses are offered.
