GREELEY, Colo.—Greeley police say two people inside an eyeglass store were killed after a truck smashed into the business.

Police say it appears the driver of the truck was accelerating when the vehicle slammed into the business but it’s not clear why. The crash happened at about 2:30 p.m. Saturday. The Visionworks where it happened is located at the Greeley Mall.

Police say the 19-year-old driver from Evans is in stable condition at a local hospital.

The names of the people killed were not released. A 9-year-old boy was also injured by flying glass.
