Denver police have identified a suspect in a $20,000 diamond-snatching at the Cherry Creek Shopping Center.

A warrant in the amount of $50,000 has been issued for Anthony DeHerrera, 31, police said Saturday. They are also looking for a second party seen in surveilance photos.

A supposed customer in a mall jewelry store asked to see a loose marquis-cut diamond about 4:30 p.m. Tuesday, then ran from the mall to a black Chevrolet Monte Carlo.

The vehicle’s Colorado license plate, 002LAT, is registered to an address in Pueblo, Denver police said at the time.

DeHerrera is described as Latino with brown hair and brown eyes, 22 to 29 years old, 5 feet 10 inches tall and about 180 pounds with a stocky build.
