A 22-year-old Littleton man faces up to 10 years in prison and up to $250,000 in fines after pleading guilty in federal court today to taking a machine gun and other firearms from his employer, a gun shop.

In a plea agreement Andrew Gunzner admitted having a cache of weapons and ammunition when he was pulled over by Denver police on March 17.

He had been using emergency lights and a siren on his Jeep after he left Shotgun Willie’s club in Glendale at about 2:30 a.m. He told police he was a salesman and apprentice at Prairie Arms Manufacturing in Littleton and that he did not have permission to take the weapons.

In addition to the machine gun he had almost $100,000 in merchandise, including seven firearms, from the business.

Gunzner pleaded guilty to possession of a machine gun and theft from a federal firearms licensee. He will be sentenced on Oct. 22.
