The body of a woman pulled from the Colorado River west of Grand Junction has been identified. The Mesa County coroner’s office said the victim is 43-year- old Miriam Y. Galvez of Clifton.
The cause and manner of Galvez’s death have not been determined and are pending “further evaluation,” the coroner’s office said in a news release. Rafters reported seeing the body Sunday. A county coroner’s investigator recovered the body about three hours later.
