Black Diamond’s Icon Headlamp provides the convenient hands-free illumination of a traditional miner’s headlamp — a boon to hikers — with an added benefit. The Icon can run on three (included) “AA” batteries or with a rechargeable NiMH battery pack kit, sold separately. The Icon has a central 3-watt bulb (for a focused spotlight beam) flanked by four bright LEDs for wider coverage. The spotlight and wide beams each have a high, medium and low mode. The wide beam also has an emergency strobe function. The rechargeable battery kit also includes an AC charger and three European power adapters.
