COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo.—Paul Mayo, a two-time world champion and an innovator in bareback riding, led a five-member class inducted Saturday into the ProRodeo Hall of Fame.

Mayo, of Sutherland Springs, Texas, won world bareback championships in 1966 and ’70.

Also inducted were 1974 world champion saddle bronc rider John McBeth of Andover, Kan.; three-time national finals rodeo bullriding champion Denny Flynn of Charleston, Ark.; Canadian bull fighter Rex Dunn; and third-generation stock contractor Bennie Beutler.

Hall of Fame inductees are selected by a committee of former contestants, PRCA officials and rodeo experts. More than 150 individuals are nominated each year.
