Organizers of the Rock ‘n’ Roll Denver Marathon and Half Marathon on Oct. 17 are looking for 26 local bands to perform along each mile of the route and at the finish line in Civic Center. The Denver event is the newest in a national series of races. Organizers want high- energy acts to entertain and encourage runners and walkers — everything from salsa to reggae, R&B to alternative, classic rock to country.
