An arrest has been made in the death of a woman whose body was found on the Bear Creek Trail bike path on Saturday.
Sheridan Police arrested Keneth Melvin Cross, 46. He is being charged with second degree murder for the death of Renee Liana Freel, 51.
Sheridan Police have said they believe Freel was a transient living along the bike path where she was found dead. Dave Runco, a spokesman for Sheridan Police Department, said Cross is also a transient.
Runco said Sheridan Police don’t expect to make any other arrests.
The exact cause of death is being witheld at this time.
The case remains under investigation.
