The races during the annual Dragon Boat Festival at Sloan’s Lake are certainly the highlight of the two-day event, but music, art, food and cultural displays are also part of the fun. This year as part of the cultural demonstration, there will be a show of traditional Korean and Taiwanese clothing. The show, at the Gateway to Asia stage, will be at noon on Sunday, and traditional attire from Taiwan and South Korea will be modeled. Emcees will talk about the history of the clothing, including what region it is from, when it was worn and details about how many layers are included (up to seven)! Suzanne S. Brown
