A substitute teacher has been arrested after going to a location where he thought he was going to have sex with an underage child, according to the Adams County Sheriff’s Office.
The man is identified as Damien Lambert Wesley Iringan , 29, of Aurora.
He was arrested Tuesday for investigation of Internet luring of a child, Internet sexual exploitation of a child and an attempt to commit sexual assault on a child.
The person Iringan was communicating with was a detective posing as the underage child, according to the sheriff’s department. Iringan was arrested at the Adams County location where he allegedly thought he was to meet the child, said investigators.
The Adams County Sheriff’s Office said that because Iringan is a substitute teacher in the Denver metro area, school districts in the region are being notified of the on-going investigation of Iringan.
Iringan was arrested and placed in the Adams County Detention Facility before making a $10,000 bond.
He is scheduled to appear in court at 1:30 p.m. Aug. 30.
