In 1999, I owned that building in Berthoud and sold automotive collectibles. A Fort Collins artist, Susan Daily, painted a scene depicting Floyd Clymer, a true and very early automotive pioneer, and his younger brothers as they passed through Berthoud in a Flanders auto en route from Denver to Spokane, Wash. The mural was created in part from a photo taken of the event.
