A five-year-old boy and his father have been found after being missing for about six hours in Eagle County.

The boy and his father went missing after they were separated from the rest of the family while hiking in Eagle County.

The pair dissappeared around noon, but family waited three hours to report them missing, said Shannon Cordingly, spokeswoman for the Eagle County Sheriff’s office.

The family is at the Half Moon campground near Holy Cross Wilderness area, and search crews focused in that area. It is unclear yet where exactly the two were found, but Cordingly said both are in good condition.

Cordingly said the pair did not have water or food with them, and severe weather coming to the area had been a concern.
