DENVER—U.S. Sen. Mark Udall says he wants his fellow senators to vote on a nomination to federal court in Colorado.
Udall and Sen. Michael Bennet both spoke on the Senate floor Thursday to call for consideration of the nomination of Bill Martinez. The Colorado Democrats say President Barack Obama nominated Martinez as a federal judge in February and the Senate Judiciary Committee approved him in April.
Udall and Bennet last week requested a vote on the nomination. They say Martinez would fill a a vacancy that has been open for almost two years.
