Wells Fargo Investments has agreed to buy back $34.6 million in auction-rate securities from Colorado investors, Colorado Securities Commissioner Fred Joseph announced Thursday.
The securities were marketed as safe and liquid alternatives to cash. The Colorado Division of Securities has reached agreements with 11 firms to repay investors after those markets froze up in February 2008.
