Exxon Mobil Corp., the world’s second-largest producer of oil from deep-water wells, is seeking to sell its stake in discoveries off the Republic of Congo coast.
Exxon owns a 30 percent stake in the fields, which hold the equivalent of 500 million barrels of recoverable crude, the Irving, Texas-based company said in a posting Tuesday on Schlumberger Ltd.’s asset-sale website.
