KEARNEY, Neb.—Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference football coaches favor the University of Nebraska at Kearney to win the league championship this season.
The Lopers are picked to finish ahead of Colorado Mines and Chadron State.
UNK running back Rustin Dring was voted preseason offensive player of the year and Lopers’ defensive tackle Josh Rohde is the preseason defensive player of the year.
Other UNK players on the all-conference team are quarterback Jake Spitzlberger, receiver Kyle Kaiser, offensive linemen Orion Matthies and Stephen Goodin and defensive end Mason Brodine.
Chadron State offensive lineman Tim Hiett, cornerback Jed Herblan and punter Kevin Berg also made the team.
