Two 14-year-old girls fought off a flasher in Thornton this afternoon after the man tried to pull one of the girls into his truck near a bus stop, police said.

The incident happened at 2:17 p.m. at 84th Avenue and Acoma Street.

The man was initially parked in a lot adjacent to the bus stop and began talking to the girls as they walked to the bus stop, Thornton police said.

He then got out, exposed himself and grabbed one of the girls, who sustained minor scratches on her shoulder in the struggle to get away.

The man was described as Latino, in his late teens or early 20s, about 5 feet, 7 inches tall with black spiked hair and possibly light facial hair. He was last seen wearing a blue T-shirt.

He was driving a Dodge Ram pickup that was either green or blue, possibly teal, police said.

Anyone with information can call Metro Area Crime Stoppers at 720-913-7867.
