DENVER—Colorado Rockies third baseman Melvin Mora has left the game with a left knee contusion after getting hit with a pitch in the bottom of the fifth inning.
Mora was hit on the side of his knee by a pitch from San Francisco reliever Denny Bautista. He lay at home plate for a few minutes before being taken out of the game. Ian Stewart ran for Mora.
Mora had a single in the game and is hitting .284 on the season.
