Getting your player ready...

The Broncos still have to plan on the possibility they won’t have left tackle Ryan Clady at the start of the season. They have tried Tyler Polumbus and D’Anthony Batiste in the spot. Polumbus, a Cherry Creek High School graduate, is a holdover from Mike Shanahan’s roster. At 6-feet-8 he has a big reach and quick feet. When camp opened, Polumbus was playing in Clady’s spot, but has given way to Batiste. Batiste is slightly bigger, and having played guard for much of his career, he plays with the physical edge it takes to play inside. Batiste played guard for much of the Broncos’ offseason workouts, but he also worked at right tackle before getting this look at left tackle. Of Batiste, coach Josh McDaniels said, “Physical, very physical.”
