PHOENIX—The search continues for two inmates who escaped from a northwestern Arizona prison last week, and authorities now believe they know what type of vehicle the fugitives might be traveling in.

The Arizona Department of Corrections says the inmates and their female accomplice may be using a 1997 platinum gold Nissan Sentra with Arizona license plate 620 PFV.

The DOC and U.S. Marshals in Arizona are leading a nationwide search for 42-year-old Tracy Province and 45-year-old John McCluskey. A third inmate who escaped with them on July 30 from the private prison in Kingman was captured early Sunday in western Colorado.

Authorities believe McCluskey’s fiancee—44-year-old Casslyn Welch of Mesa—helped the inmates escape.

Province is serving a life sentence for murder and robbery out of Pima County. McCluskey is serving a 15-year prison term for attempted second-degree murder, aggravated assault and discharge of a firearm out of Maricopa County.
