The Avalanche today officially confirmed its schedule for its brief training camp.

Veterans report for physicals on Sept. 17, then the team will conduct morning on-ice practice and scrimmage sessions from 9 a.m.-noon on Sept. 18 and 19 at Family Sports Center in Centennial. Those sessions will be open to the public.

As previously announced, the Burgundy-White intrasquad game will be Sept. 20 at the 1stBank Center in Broomfield, and Colorado opens its six-game exhibition season on Sept. 21 at St. Louis.

Before the main camp, rookies will report Sept. 12 and do mostly off-ice work with brief on-ice sessions on Sept. 14, 15 and 16. They also are allowed to skate those days in the veterans’ unofficial and unsupervised precamp sessions.
