GREENWOOD VILLAGE — Firefighters suspect a lightning strike sparked a fire that damaged a Greenwood Village restaurant.

The fire started about midnight Sunday at Saigon Landing, 6585 Greenwood Plaza Blvd., according to a South Metro Fire Protection District media release.

The restaurant was closed and no one was injured, said Andy Lyon, a fire department spokesman.

Flames were shooting out of the roof when firefighters arrived. They contained the fire to the roof and attic. The restaurant’s interior was damaged by water and smoke.
