A road project in Turkey Creek Canyon will cause slowdowns and long stops in the 3-mile stretch of U.S. 285 from the Morrison exit to the Parmalee Gulch interchange beginning Aug. 23.
Improvements include rock mitigation, concrete median barrier construction, new guardrails and shoulder improvements, the Colorado Department of Transportation said today.
Workers will be on site from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. each Monday through Thursday, and 8:30 a.m. to noon on Fridays.
Completion of the $1.7 million project is scheduled for October.
