LOS ANGELES — Talk-radio host Dr. Laura Schlessinger issued an apology for saying the N-word several times in an on-air conversation with a caller.
Schlessinger said on her website Wednesday that in an attempt to make a philosophical point she said the N-word more than once and said she believes it was wrong. During Tuesday’s exchange, she said the caller was “hypersensitive” for complaining of racist comments from her husband’s friends. When the woman asked whether the N-word was offensive, Schlessinger said “black guys say it all the time,” and went on to repeat it.
