Routt County Search and Rescue volunteers have found a 57-year-old Denver man thought to have been missing since he went fishing Friday night or Saturday morning in North Routt County. Rescuers reported he was breathing and conscious when they got to him, but described him as very disoriented.

Craig Horlacher was last seen Friday afternoon and was reported missing when he did not show up for work in Denver on Monday morning.

Routt County Sheriff’s Office deputies on Wednesday found Horlacher’s Subaru near Routt County Road 129 on Forest Service Road 497 in the King Solomon Falls area. Searchers began looking for Horlacher in the area Wednesday night and continued early this morning.

At about 9:20 a.m. today, searchers requested an ambulance. Search and Rescue incident commander Jim Linville confirmed that Horlacher was found.

Search and Rescue Spokesman Darrel Levingston said Horlacher was found partially in a stream and rescuers are using a rope system to get him to safety. They will then take him to an area where a helicopter can pick him up.
