Local Tibetan Buddhists celebrate the 100th anniversary of the birth of one of the great masters of their tradition, Kyabje Dilgo Khyentse Rinpoche. And they are celebrating his return.

Buddhists are introducing his young incarnation, Khyentse Yangsi Rinpoche, born June 30, 1993, in Nepal. Rinpoche is touring three places in the United States — New York, Vermont and Colorado — to give spiritual teachings to young Western Buddhists.

In Colorado, he will hold a children’s audience 10-11 a.m. Friday at the Boulder Shambhala Meditation Center, 1345 Spruce St.

A film on his Holiness Dilgo Khyentse Rinpoche, “Glimpses of the Brilliant Moon,” will be shown at 1 p.m. at the Boulder Theater, 2032 14th St. The ticket price is $12.75.

An empowerment teaching is scheduled 6 p.m. at the theater. Admission is $20.

On Saturday and Sunday, there will be a “Gathering of Disciples” in Ward. For more information, call 303-459-0184.
