U.S. video-game sales fell less than 0.5 percent last month to $846.5 million, buoyed by purchases of a slimmer Xbox 360 from Microsoft Corp. and sales of the “StarCraft” game for PCs.
Hardware sales increased 12 percent to $313.8 million, while software revenue tumbled 8 percent to $403.3 million, said Port Washington, N.Y.-based NPD on Thursday in a statement.
