A military communications satellite designed and built by Lockheed Martin Space Systems is scheduled for launch today from Cape Canaveral aboard a rocket provided by Centennial-based United Launch Alliance.
The Air Force’s Advanced Extremely High Frequency satellite will provide higher data rates for transmission of tactical military communications such as a real-time video, battlefield images and targeting data.
