A 56-year-old man who admitted abusing a disabled 60-year-old woman and stealing her money was sentenced Monday to the maximum possible sentence of 28 years.
Richard Lee Straw pleaded guilty June 22 to second-degree assault on an at-risk adult and theft from an at-risk adult.
A bank teller alerted authorities after becoming suspicious of Straw.
