A soft dessert pudding made of stewed fruit and a thickener such as cornstarch. Experiment: Cook 3 cups raspberries or blackberries, 1/2 cup sugar, 2 tablespoons honey and about 1/3 cup water over medium heat for 15 minutes. Strain out seeds and return liquid to pan. Stir together 1 1/2 tablespoons corn starch with 2 tablespoons cold water to make a slurry. Stir this slurry into the liquid, cook for 2 minutes more, and serve with whipped cream.
