A Denver couple who pleaded guilty to selling forged medical marijuana paperwork have received deferred sentences and probation, the Denver District Attorney’s Office said Tuesday.

Stefan Zittel, 20, pleaded guilty to distribution/sale of marijuana and forgery. He was sentenced to a four-year supervised deferred judgment on the drug count and was sentenced to two years of probation on the forgery count.

Faith Shirley, 18, pleaded guilty to distribution/sale of marijuana and forgery. She was sentenced a four-year supervised deferred judgment.

Denver police began investigating a Craigslist ad that offered medical marijuana doctor referral forms in May, leading to the arrest of Zittel and Shirley.
