Three lawyers are candidates for a seat on the Colorado Court of Appeals made vacant when Judge Sean Connelly announced he was not returning to the bench.
The names of Assistant U.S. Attorney Maria Teresa “Terry” Fox, Denver appellate lawyer Blain David Myhre and Patrick O’Rourke, who represented the University of Colorado during the Ward Churchill trial, have been sent to Gov. Bill Ritter.
The Supreme Court’s nominating commission conducted interviews with the candidates Monday and Tuesday.
Fox works in the civil division of the U.S. attorney’s office. Myhre is a lawyer with the Denver firm Isaacson Rosenbaum. O’Rourke is CU’s managing senior associate counsel.
