ADAMS COUNTY — Various lane and ramp closures will take place starting tonight and continuing into Sunday evening as the state Transportation Department paves two ramps at Interstate 25 and 104th Avenue.

The work is part of a project the replaces the 104th Avenue bridge over I-25, which was originally constructed in 1962 and is one of Colorado’s structurally deficient bridges.

Motorists can expect the following lane and ramp closures this weekend, weather permitting:

104th Avenue to Southbound I-25: The ramp from 104th Avenue to southbound I-25 will be completely closed from midnight to 5:30 p.m. on Sunday. Detour route: Motorists can take 104th Avenue to either Washington Street or Huron Street and down to Thornton Parkway where access to southbound I-25 is available.

Northbound I-25 to 104th Avenue: The ramp from northbound I-25 to 104th Avenue will be restricted to a right turn only from midnight to 5:30 p.m. on Sunday. Flaggers will be on site to help direct motorists through the work zone.

Delays are possible on Sunday and alternate routes are strongly advised.
