The word for weather in Denver this weekend is hot, according to the National Weather Service.
Highs are expected to hit the mid-90s today and Sunday, according to meteorologist Jim Kalina in Boulder.
If the prediction is correct, the area will approach record highs both days. Today’s record is 97, set in 2007, and Sunday’s is 98, reached in 1960.
This is expected to be the hottest weekend since July 17-18. Kalina said Denver reached 102 on the 17th and 93 on the 18th.
No precipitation is expected either day this weekend, Kalina said.
