COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo.—A plane crash in a field northeast of Colorado Springs has killed both men on board.

The El Paso County sheriff’s office says the property owner discovered the wreckage just before noon Monday. Authorities say the bodies of two elderly men were found in the plane.

The men’s names haven’t been released.

Mike Fergus of the Federal Aviation Administration in Seattle says the plane was a white and yellow Cessna 310. The FAA and the National Transportation Safety Board will investigate the crash.

Authorities say the landowner didn’t see the crash. Lt. Lari Sevene of the sheriff’s office says six horses and two donkeys in the field when the plane crashed weren’t injured.
