BUENA VISTA — Rescuers are assessing whether there are more options to find the body of rafting guide Kimberly Appelson, missing since July 11.
Appelson, 23, of Breckenridge was off duty on the Arkansas River with friends when she was swept off a boat at the Frog Rock Rapids north of Buena Vista.
Last week, 65 rescuers from nine agencies made another massive search of the Arkansas Headwaters Recreation Area after reducing the flow of the river downstream to aid in the search, which had been suspended for weeks because of the fast flow. Joey Bunch, The Denver Post
