AAA Colorado reported Wednesday that it expects 2.68 million travelers in the eight-state Mountain Region to take a trip of more than 50 miles away from home over the Labor Day holiday, a 10.7 percent increase over last year.
AAA expects the national average price of self-serve regular gasoline to be between $2.65 and $2.75 per gallon during the holiday weekend. In Colorado, gasoline prices are averaging $2.71 per gallon.
