Hurricane Danielle in the open Atlantic has grown to a Category 2 storm with maximum sustained winds of more than 100 mph.
It is moving northwest, and the forecast track has it heading toward Bermuda over the next several days.
Also, Tropical Storm Earl formed in the open Atlantic Ocean, but the system is far from land. Earl had maximum sustained winds of 40 mph and is expected to become a hurricane by late Friday.
