GRAND JUNCTION, Colo.—Authorities have arrested a man suspected in two robberies of the prescription opiate Oxycontin from Grand Junction pharmacies.
Fifty-four-year-old Joel David Crawford faces robbery charges in connection with the thefts in January and March.
Prosecutors say a firearm was used in both.
A judge on Tuesday rejected Crawford’s request to reduce his bail, now set at $200,000.
Crawford suggested his Oxycontin use stemmed from a traumatic brain injury he suffered in a collision with a drunken driver 15 months ago.
