Two serious crashes close in time and location in Adams County this morning left four people injured and tangled traffic for hours, according to the Colorado State Patrol.
Just after 11 a.m., two people on a motorcycle were badly injured at East 58th Avenue and Logan Court when it struck a truck turning in its path, then careened into a second truck.
The motorcycle’s driver, Stephen Zinanti, 26, of Denver, and his passenger, 18-year-old Brittany Pacheco of Denver, were rushed to Denver Health Medical Center with serious injuries. Neither was wearing a helmet, according to the Colorado State Patrol.
About 20 minutes later less than a mile away on I-25 just south of 58th Avenue, a semi driven by Kelly Dewitt, 46, of Arvada hit two trucks and a car that had stopped in traffic.
Drivers in two of those vehicles, Thomas Lang, 49, of Hudson and Peter Olson, 48, of Parker were taken to Denver Health, and Lang remains in serious condition, according to troopers.
The crashes closed East 58th Avenue and its exit ramp from I-25 for more than four hours.
