A construction worker was trapped by falling debris Wednesday evening when the wall of a home collapsed into an adjacent ditch where he was working.
The man was extricated in about 20 minutes. He was taken to a hospital; his name and condition have not been released.
The incident happened in the 2700 block of Stout Street just before 6 p.m. Two men were working on a water line in a 6-foot trench in front of the house. Part of the wall of the home fell into the trench and bricks fell on one of the men, trapping him. The other man was able to climb out.
