SUPERIOR, Colo.—Three units in a townhome complex in Superior have burned and three people have gone to the hospital after a fire broke out in the north-Denver suburb.

Authorities say a 13-year-old girl and a 2-year-old girl were been taken to the hospital for smoke inhalation Thursday. A firefighter went to the hospital as a precaution.

Authorities say all three have been treated and released.

Superior police say the fire started around 2 p.m. Eighteen townhome units were affected with three destroyed and another three damaged. The cause is under investigation.

Boulder County sheriff’s Cmder. Rick Brough says two other six-unit buildings were evacuated. About 40 firefighters and 10 engines from seven agencies were at the blaze.
